Big Bend is a curious place of contrasts. Dry desert and mountains with steep valleys cut by the river. The most interesting part of this trip was an accidental trip outside the park to Terlingua Ghost Town. During WWI, it was a mercury mine. The remanants of buildings was very fascinating.
