Fundamentals of Photography: Six weeks, about an hour a week. $275. No more than six students. Tuesday evenings at 6:30 starting September 7, November 2 Saturday mornings at 10:30 starting September 11, November 13 Learn how to make correct exposures so you spend less time trying to fix them in the computer. Learn how to use shutter speed to freeze or blur action. Learn how to control depth-of-field. Learn the secrets of composition to make your images "pop". Learn the basics of lighting to make you subjects stand out. These fundamentals can be applied to any discipline of photography. You will become a better photographer and will take better photographs while taking fewer images. | |

Portrait Class: Five weeks. $225 Minimum 4 students, maximum 7 Saturdays at 1:00 Starting November 13 Prerequisite: Fundamentals. Are you interested in taking pictures of your friends and family and maybe even doing it for money? This is your class. We will cover basic portrait lighting, lens selection, exposure and color balance. Then we will cover corrective lighting and posing, retouching in the computer and the psychology of portrait photography. Basic Digital Photo Retouching (Photoshop) Two Weeks. $95. Starting Saturdays September 11 at 3:00 Bring your own laptop. Learn the basics of color correction, discover the power of cloning, learn and understand curves and discover what effects will help make your images better. Understand masks and how to make corrections apply to only selective parts of the image.. Advanced Digital Photo Retouching Four weeks. $190 Starting Saturdays October 9 at 3:00 Bring your own laptop. Learn advanced color and density correction techniques. Understand the power of layers and layer masks and learn how to make complex compositions. The Mentorship Program 120 hours of personal instruction over 12 months. $6000. Application only. Prerequisite: Fundamentals. So you want to be a professional photographer? This is your program. Individualized, one-on-one instruction from someone with 20+ years experience in the field. Includes assisting me on assignments and accompanying you on assignments. Everything will be covered to get your business running. Taking images, editing, marketing, pricing and selling. Interested individuals need to complete the fundamentals class, present samples of their work and complete an interview. |
