Children's

I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of Matt and Amber several years ago.  I was excited to hear they would be having a baby and offered them a “First Family Portrait”.   These images, done in black and white, are so dramatic and timeless.   It was great working with them and Christopher.  Christopher liked to sleep, which is good.  It’s easier to photograph a sleeping baby than a crying baby.

This cute little girl was brought in by her grandmother.  Like all kids, you have to work with them a little.  What was funny is that I actually got down on the floor next to her to show her how to pose.  Whatever it takes to get the shot…

I had the privilege of photographing Debbie’s wedding several years ago.  She has kids now and brought them in for a Christmas session.  Children are always a challenge, but when you put two together, it compounds the challenge.  You just have to work with them and let them have some fun.  It is very much, “go with the flow.”  My concept when I talked to her on the phone was to do something with them reading a book.  After we jumped them up and down several times, they settled down enough to look at Christmas book together.

I got to photograph the CUTEST one year old girl the other day.  Her mother had called earlier in the week and said she had few days off and needed to get this done.  We managed to find a time in her schedule and we photographed her daughter outside.  The variety of expressions we captured was amazing.  The little girl just had fun looking at things and smelling flowers and the images were a great representation of her at this age.
